DIY Electronic Mallet Percussion Instrument

This is an electronic mallet instrument percussion instrument that I built using homemade force-sensing resistors and a Teensy microcontroller.  My two main goals with this build are to have a final product that is highly sensitive to perform with, customizable response, and as low cost as possible. The commercial electronic mallet instruments are usually $1000 or much more, which is prohibitively expensive for many people. Right now my build is around a tenth of that cost, plus time of course. The controller has a three octave range, but is designed to be easily expanded to five octaves to accommodate the full range of a marimba. More pictures and details will be posted soon.
